Formula Wizard, Autosave upgrades, and a new User group schedule!
Published 4/20/23
Hi friends,
Spring is in the air! This is a great time to recap all the new features from the last quarter in our quarterly review article. It's also a great time for some spring cleaning. We can clean up our boards using the new layout options of Expand/Collapse buttons on Tabular view or maybe even activate Compact row height. You can also export your widgets as a PNG for some great before and after photos!
Autosave functionality upgrade!
We have upgraded the Autosave functionality to a Block setting. This means you can now disable Autosave at the block level allowing Members to bundle inputs and sync those changes with the rest of the model when they are ready. This Block setting will remain consistent across all Board views sourced from it and across all Members. This upgrade also adjusted the default Autosave setting for Sheet View to match the Block setting.
New Formula Wizard
You're a wizard, friends! Not really, but you will feel like one after mastering the BY modifier with the new Formula Wizard in the Formula playground.
No wizards are necessary to use the new SUM functionality created for adding together two items with Calculated Items or combining Metrics using Show value as.
User Groups!
Have you ever formulated the perfect Pigment formula and wanted to geek out on it? Perhaps you're trying to learn the latest best practices. You may be eager to debate the ideal chart type, even though we all know it's a waterfall chart. We have some exciting new user groups scheduled for you to be able to connect with other Pigment leaders. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to find out more details!
Contextualize your data
We introduced two great new options for contextualizing data from a Board. Set cell context as Page will adjust your Board page selectors to match the dimensions of the selected cell. Making it easier to analyze across multiple widgets. Drill to data source has replaced Drill to transaction and now analyzes multiple block types to quickly identify the source data used within a calculation.
