This new path curates existing content to provide a smoother transition from the previous Essentials for Everyone to the Formula Writing path. It is designed to introduce new modelers to key modeling concepts, the Pigment interface, and essential navigational topics, ensuring a foundation for successful Pigment onboarding.

• Multidimensional vs. Linear Planning: Pigment vs. Spreadsheets
• Types of Blocks: Metrics, Transactions, Dimension Lists, Tables
• Building Your First Application: From importing a Transactions List to building simple Metrics and adding them to a Board
• Working with Widgets on Boards: Filter, Page Selectors, Totals, Sort, Pivot, Format, Export
• Formula Basics: Structure, Syntax, and why aligning Metric Dimensions is crucial
• Using Modifiers in Formulas: Introductory videos on each modifier

Why This Path?

• Bridge the Gap: This training bridges the gap between basic and advanced paths like Formula Writing, making the transition smoother.
• Personalized Learning: Part of our initiative to tailor Academy content to different user personas.

• The Essentials for Everyone path is now renamed to Essentials for Business Users and will be restructured soon.
• The Modeling Fundamentals path has now been suspended from the Academy.
