Hi,Id like to take data from a source metric dimensioned by month, GL, department and project and map this into a P&L line item metric dimensioned by month. However, as mapping metrics must be formatted by the dimension of the target what Im unsure how to go about this. In a different life I would create a list derived from the P&L line items and use this to format my mapping table but alas I dont think this is possible with Pigment. Any thoughts on how best to approach this?Thanks,

With the new functionnality to create dimension based on an other dimension/transaction list, I want to create a concatenation of 2 columns in my transaction list but.. Pigment say there is an error because a lot of rows don’t have unique ID. Is it existing a “ISFIRSTOCCURENCE” formula or simithing similar to filter my view and solve the point ? 

Hello, very new to Pigment. I am looking to create a table that shows headcount for CY MTD Act, MTD Bud, MTD PY, Var Act CY MTD vs MTD Bud, Var Act CY MTD vs MTD PY. Then repeat everything for Dec 2026 (compare to Dec Bud and Dec 2025). Looking for a formula to type in the formula bar so this will happen. I worked with the AI chat and it did it for me but the the whole chart was blank

Hi,I have created a table that contains 5 metrics out of which two are in % form using show value as %of metric feature. Thw view that i created is two versions in column and variance also. The problem that i am facing is variance for 4 metrics is coming correct except 1i.e. out of the 2-percentage based metric variance for one is coming correct but other is not though both are using same methods and individually for each version values are coming correct. Unable to find a reason why only one is inconsistent although at individual version level it is coming correct.Please let me know what i am doing wrong.Thanks in advance

Hi,I am create a P&L where I have the GL rolling up into a P&L line which then rolls up into a P&L category.However, the GL rolls up nicely into the line item but Im struggling to get the line items to roll into the category. Im using metrics to populate my line items rows and dimensions for GL and Category -  In the screen shot I want the GL 60110 to roll up to Core Processing and for this to roll up to Revenue.  But instead it simply duplicates the Core Processing line.Here are the summary settings - The metrics feeding this table are dimensioned by P&L Line Item (as a dimension), P&L Line item category (property of P&L

Hi everyone, I’m trying to export a template from a Pigment table. Right now, the export only shows the headers (Account, Month, Property, Version, Amount) and no rows underneath. I want the full structure to export, including all account rows and combinations, but with blank amount values. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi, seeing as the MCP connection provides the same access rights as already configured in pigment, is there a way to limit that on the MCP side? For example - connecting to claude, the client wants the have the same user rights but no one should have write rights. so Admin would see everything, but won’t be able to change anything (data/structure) from Claude. thanks

Does anybody have any advice on on managing the migration of scenario changes back into default plan in a clean way?In other EPMs, multiple scenarios get spun up, different changes are made in each, and then those changes can be cleanly merged back into a main plan without any fuss in the scenario we choose to implement. The deltas are known and thrown back in without breaking any other inputs.We used this functionality a lot when presenting possible plans to business partners and then we would merge the final changes back into plan based on their final feedback.In Pigment, it seems like the copy function is the only mechanism available for this and it seems to hard code all values into chosen metrics rather than targeting the actual changes. We have to choose the blocks and then go app by app sending them through? It’s clunky, but it kind of works for my use case.Further, it seems like I have to toggle “Inputs and imports populate data across all Scenari

Hi,Is there a way to reference the current month value even while using PREVIOUSOF()? Since using iterative dimension is not allowed, is there a way to shift month values so that value returned by PREVIOUSOF() is the current month value instead of previous month?

Hi,Another simple one.I have a Transaction list with monthly data for revenues for customers, product types and dates.I want to create a metric that adds up the revenue based on the dimensions selected for the metric.The dimensions selected are present in the Transaction list.In the formula I type the column I’m looking to aggregate from the transaction list but I cannot see the aggregation differentiate between Business Segments at all.What am I doing wrong? Thanks,G  

Hi I’m trying to do a simple look up using ITEM.I have Transaction list, which contains customer data and the Product Type. Product Type is Dimension data type.I have created a Dimension that allocates each Product Type to a correspondent Business segment, which I created as another dimension.In that given transaction list, I’m looking to add the business segment, I created another column with dimension business segment as data type and I’m using ITEM to bring the Business segment values.ITem('IWSR - NRR Data'.ProductType.Name,'IWSR - Business Segments'.Name)The formula returns nothing and does not flag any errors.What could be the issue?BestG

It would be great to have a built-in feature that allows users to quickly identify and display only overridden values by applying a formula or filter. This eliminates the need for manual, visual inspection (side- blue bar) of each entry , improving efficiency and reducing the risk of missing changesExample: if there is metric:datatype: “number”  dimensionality: city If there’s a way to quickly identify cities where there is a override (without creation of another formula to compare the values)
