I’m Tom Gilbert (@tgilbert in the community), and I’m the Enterprise Planning Platform Lead at Celonis, based in New York.My day to day is really focused on managing the Pigment platform. That includes the long term roadmap and thinking about where we want to take the platform, but also the day to day work of building new enhancements, troubleshooting bugs, and supporting and enabling our users. You can read Tom’s full interview here: Can you tell us a little about your career journey?I started my career out of college at an EPM consulting company, where I worked on implementations and helped different companies build out their EPM platforms.I enjoyed that work, but I became interested in seeing those projects through for longer. In consulting, you often work on a shorter implementation and then move on. I wanted the opportunity to work internally at a company and think more about the long term strategy of a platform. That led me to join the finance tea

You can see Min Li’s full interview here: Can you tell us a little about your career journey?I started my career in Business Intelligence, using Power BI to build dashboards for customer departments. After about three years, a friend encouraged me to try consulting, which is when I was introduced to Pigment. It was a major career change. There were several moments when I considered giving up.Looking back now, I am incredibly grateful I stayed with it. Those experiences helped me grow quickly, and they a

I did not want to go to college, but I eventually went because I had to, and I chose math simply because it was the subject I disliked the least. I studied industrial mathematics for my bachelor’s degree.I later discovered that while every job uses math, almost no one is hiring a pure mathematician. So I went back for a master’s in petroleum engineering, and worked in oil and gas as a drilling engineer for around seven years. Over time, the work started to feel repetitive and I found
