Navigating Pigment is easy, this article walks you through some of the basics. Your view might be different depending on your permissions and account type, but overall the look and feel is similar.
Workspace Homepage
When you first log in, this opens the Workspace homepage. This displays the all the available Applications in your Workspace and the sidebar.
Want more control of your sidebar visibility? Hover over the middle of the sidebar, and click the arrow to collapse or expand it.
The sidebar displays the following information:
- Organization or Workspace name. If you work in multiple Workspaces, click the arrow beside your Workspace name to switch between Workspaces.
- Notifications. Click the Bell icon to view notifications from your Pigment Applications.
- Release notifications. Click the Gift icon to read about new Pigment feature updates.
- Search bar. Also known as the Command Palette, use this to search for Applications within your Workspace. You can also use it to access Documentation, Community, and to contact Support.

For information on all Pigment keyboard shortcuts , see Keyboard shortcuts. - Get Help. Click the Help icon to open the Resource Center where you can find guided tours, and several important links to support you working in Pigment.
- Avatar. Beside your name, you’ll see your initials. Click here to see your account type, your email address, and a link to log out.
Application Homepage
When you open an Application, the homepage is displayed. It lists all Boards within the Application, showing Members the boards to which they have access.
You can use the Command Palette within an Application to search for both Blocks and Boards. However, you will only be able to view Boards for which you have the appropriate permissions. While all Blocks are visible in the search results, access is restricted to those you have permission to use. Depending on your permissions, you can also create Boards, or Blocks directly from the Command Palette.
When you open the Application homepage, the sidebar now displays the following information:
- Application. The name of your current Application. Click your Application name to search and select another Application. If you’ve the right permissions, you can also create new Applications directly from here.
- Boards. This folder helps you organize your Boards, click the arrow to open it. Boards help your Members visualize planning processes through charts, grids, Lists, text, and KPI widgets. The numbers displayed next to the Boards folder indicates the total number of objects within it. Similarly, when folders are added, they will show the count of objects contained in each folder.

Click the arrow to open it. The numbers displayed next to the Blocks folder indicates the total number of objects within it. Depending on your Role’s permissions, you may also have access to options such as History, More Options, and Formula Playground. These features allow you to modify any settings you’re allowed to manage.
