Question

Blank row header for blank row in a grid or table

Is there a trick to creating a blank row metric I can use as a spacer inside a grid or table. I am unable to save a metric with a space or special character as it’s name. Is there a way to hide the row header name?

Hi Kevin,

Was looking for a similar solution few days back and definitely would love to know if we have the capability to do it.

The workaround I have used is use any of the existing one liner metric or a staging metric, using the formatting option and select the “white”(background) colour as the font colour. This basically does the trick and you have a blank row for you which can be now used as a spacer!

Hi @Kevin Leadbeater 2  & @GaneshD ,

What I usually do to achieve this is to create a metric called

Set_Blank

and then in the table I rename it with “⠀” the blank character unicode U+2800 (https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/U+2800). Once done, I can duplicate it several time so I can have other blank rows in the table if needed.

Eventually this feature will be released (hopefully soon) so we don’t have to do any workaround.

Hope this helps,
