Hi

I would like to merge all the items from 2 dimensions of 2 distinct applications in PIGMENT into a new dimension. Is this possible, and if so, how?

To give a bit of context, I have an existing application that tracks ongoing projects and those planned for the next two years (updated via an import), and I would like to create a dedicated application allowing users to submit their project requests for the next 2 to 6 years.

These requests will be subject to prioritization, and not all will be carried out. Therefore, I would like to distinguish between confirmed projects and future project requests by creating 2 distinct dimensions. However, in the end, I would like to merge them into a single dimension to facilitate analysis of all projects.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Have a great day,

Antoine

Hi @Antoine-2,

Let’s imagine we have 3 dimension lists that are auto poplulated by import: Current Project, Future Project and All Projects (of course make sure all of them are shared across all the apps)

My idea is for both Current Project Data Load and Future Project Data Load, we’ll add an extra property to auto populate the All Projects dimension list, so that you don’t need to do extra steps to “merge” them.

For examples, I have 2 csv lists as below

This is how I will map them in Pigment:

And the results are:
