We are looking at integrating the Linear App with Pigment via MCP or a Connector. I see there is no Linear Connector at this time, can we do if with MCP, we currently have one MCP integration set up but I don’t see the option to add another.

Hi Joel,

Thanks for the question!

At the moment, MCP isn’t a way to connect Pigment to Linear directly.

To clarify the difference:

  • Pigment currently provides an MCP server, which means other tools that act as MCP clients (for example, Claude) can connect into Pigment.
  • What we don’t have today is an MCP client. Which is the part that would allow Pigment to connect out to third‑party MCP servers (for example, connecting Pigment to Notion or Linear to pull data from them).

Linear is in a similar position: they provide an MCP server so external MCP clients can connect to Linear. Since neither Pigment nor Linear offers an MCP client, there isn’t a way to connect Pigment and Linear to each other via MCP directly.

You’re more than welcome to submit feedback on this for our team for future improvements.
