How can I create a test user and assign the boards’ permissions and rights for a standard member and can test if only the right KPIs are accessible for that test user?

Hey @pigment_enthusiast ,

You can test the boards permission from the user’s perspective by logging in with their email address or you can use the Impersonate feature to do so.

You’ll find further information on that feature in this article:

Hope this helps! In any case, I remain available if you have other questions.
Best regards,

Hi @pigment_enthusiast ,

To add a new member at the workspace level, you can use a test email and select the appropriate account type.

Next, navigate to the specific application where you’d like to test access rights. Add the new user there and assign their role.

If necessary, you can configure specific Board access in the "Board Access" tab located on the "Roles, Permissions & Access" page within your application.

For details on the access rights available for each role, you can refer to the following articles in the community:

Use Board Permissions to Grant Board Access (https://community.pigment.com/security-permissions-82/use-board-permissions-to-grant-board-access-786)

Introduction to Access Rights (https://community.pigment.com/security-permissions-82/introduction-to-access-rights-1449)

Let me know if you need further assistance!

Best regards,

Hi @Luiza

Thank you for your response.
“To add a new member at the workspace level, you can use a test email and select the appropriate account type.”

Are you referring to this path: Members Management → Invite New Members → Enter the test email and then Account Type as “standard member” ?
If yes, how can we test the boards’ permission’s from the perspective of that test user?
i.e. logging-in via that test user? No, right?
