Hello,

I need your help with a topic regarding data aggregation with their Parent-Child Hierarchy.

In my Transactional list, I don't have any lines corresponding to the Parent value "Finance," and for "INC" type accounts, only Gross Sales returns values. However, I would like to display all accounts as shown in the attached chart of accounts:

Problem: When I create my metric, the rows (Finance, Operating Income, Gross Profit, Net Income, Gross Income) are empty and do not aggregate with their children, and therefore do not allow for ratio and P&L calculations.

Could you help me find a workaround?

Thanks a lot

Is ‘Financial Planning Plan’ the name for transactional list ?
If yes, can you try to create the property for “Category_Level 3” in the Transaction list and
then update the formula using BY SUM: ‘TL name’.’category_level3’

Thank you for your help. Yes, the name of the transaction list is "Financial Planning Plan."
I created the "Category_Level 3" property in the transaction list, but I have at least 17,000 items to enter in the property. Is there a solution?

To populate the Category_Level_3:

  • 1st Option: If there is a logic behind it. i.e. can it be formula-driven based on the value of any other property in the transaction list?
  • 2nd Option: Can you try to use the ‘Import Data’ feature (available on top-right) to import the values into this newly added column of the TL
