Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible, based on the value of a text metric, to create a dimension. The idea is that I have users who will enter requests and then group these requests by category. I do not know the list of these categories and each user will be able to create their own list. However, I would like users to be able to filter requests by category and add the category as a characteristic of the request.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Have a good day.

Antoine

Hey Antoine,

No, not like that.

I’d suggest you create a technical dimension called User Request Category and let your users create items in it as they do their requests.

It will be messy, so I’d suggest another dimension, Request Category, that an admin maintains to match the first dimension. You can then map the two and use the clean one as a selector.
