Is it possible to apply different Access Rights on a same metric based on different applications ?
i.e. Metric A should have rule configuration of AR 1 (if metric A is used in App 1)
and if the same metric A is getting used in other App (App 2 - by turning the sharing On), this metric should have access rights AR 2
AR 1 and AR2 are security metrics
Is there any alternative solution for this?
Hi there!
In Pigment, Access Rights are defined at the metric level, not the application level. This means that a metric will retain the same Access Rights across all applications where it is used. As a result, it’s not possible to assign different Access Rights to the same metric depending on the application context.
To achieve the desired outcome, you can create two separate metrics with the same formula but assign different Access Rights to each. You would then use:
-
Metric A1 (with Access Rights AR 1) in App 1
-
Metric A2 (with Access Rights AR 2) in App 2
This approach allows you to manage access independently for each application while maintaining consistent logic in the metrics.
Thanks for the quick response!
But, Metric A is input metric in App1 and utilising the same in App 2by library sharing On
