Hello,

I have 2 metrics :

  • Actual with Dimensions : Client, Region, Sales Area, Period Type (Actual)
  • Budget with Dimensions : Region, Sales Area, Period Type (Budget)

I want to add these 2 metrics and keep the Client dimension. If I select Budget as Period Type, I just want BLANK for the Client dimension, if I select Actual as Period Type, I want the figures for the client dimension.
Is it possible to do it ?
Thank you

Hi Alexandre,

Typically you can assign all values on one dummy / technical client, e.g. No Client in your Client dimension.

To add values on them, you’ll have to first create that item, and then build your metric with a formula looking like this: Actual + BudgeteBY: Client."No Client"]

There is no way you can have a different granularity for different items in a single metric outside of this though.

Hope this helps!

Thank You !

In the quote above, you mean “no way” or there is “now” a way to do it ?

That’s a typo indeed!
Having different granularities in the same block would go against Pigment’s architecture, so it’s not going to happen any time soon :)
