Hi Pigment Community,

I have a couple of questions about managing properties of type dimension.

  1. I’m using a direct connector to Lever to create a Lever_Requisitions transaction list. I need to use one of the properties of this list (Requisition ID) both as a dimension and as text - I’m using it as text as part of a concatenation for an Unique ID property that defines how my loads work and now need to use it as dimension to cross some data with an offer transaction list. Is it possible to have the same data in two different columns with two different types? How can this be achieved?
  2. Additionally, I need to change the dimension list associated with my Requisition IDs, as it was automatically generated from my offers report and is incomplete. How can I do so without losing all items in my existing Lever_Requisitions.’Requisition ID’ property? I have historical loads there that I wouldn’t like to lose.

Thank you!

Solved.

I updated the import settings to map the “Requisition ID” column into two different properties: one of text type and one of dimension type.

With this, my new imports already populated the dimension property and, to complete the blank fields from previous imports, I manually copied and pasted (without formatting) the IDs from the text column into the dimension column.

Hi Andy,

Happy you were able to get this mapping issue sorted out.

If you haven’t already, I recommend checking out some Community articles around Import configurations and mapping:

If you need any further assistance, let me know.

Cheers,
Marty
