Hi - the new feature whereby hints are offered directly in the formula bar are a little confusing.

In the above are they simply highlighting where I have used ‘BY’ modifier and explaining what is happening or does the formula need to be updated?

Prior to today my goal with the formulas is to minimise any text here and I am not sure if this is highlight an error or not as the formulas look good.

Thanks

Hi Chris,

On the image you’ve shared, no action is needed because the formula f in the top-left is not yellow. You can read about this behavior in this article: Dimensionality Hints → When the f turns yellow, action needs to be taken.

The new Dimensionality Indicator light bulb 💡 appears when the Dimensions resulting from the transformation are different from the Metric’s Dimensions. If the Dimensions resulting from the transformation are the same as the Metric’s Dimensions, no hint would be displayed.

In the same article linked above you’ll find the Explanatory hints section that explains this behaviour.

I hope this helps answer your question and removes any confusion for you!
