I don’t find “formula Playground” useful. It doesn't offer anything extra than the normal formula bar.

I would recommend to look closely at the advantages of the Formula Playground, it offers advantages for learning and testing the syntax. I wish I had landed on this earlier which is why I recommend this especially if you are doing the advanced training courses

• Critical for Complex Formula Development: If you're building or managing intricate financial, sales, or operational models with complex formulas (e.g., using BY Modifiers or multi-dimensional data), the Formula Playground is highly important. It allows you to test and refine formulas without risking errors in live metrics, saving time and preventing costly mistakes.
• Ensures Model Integrity: For model builders or administrators, it’s essential to avoid disrupting live data. The Playground’s isolated environment ensures experiments don’t impact the actual model, unlike direct edits that could cause issues like model freezes.
• Speeds Up Troubleshooting: For users working with dimensional data or troubleshooting formula errors, the Playground’s ability to break down formulas and show dimensionality (especially in Auto and Custom modes) is invaluable for quickly identifying and fixing issues.
• Less Critical for Simple Models: If your models use basic formulas or minimal dimensionality, the Playground might be less critical, as direct metric edits may suffice with lower risk.
• Learning and Efficiency: For new users or those less familiar with Pigment’s formula syntax, the Playground’s Formula Wizard and testing capabilities accelerate learning and improve efficiency, making it a key tool for onboarding or upskilling.
