Hello,

Seems like a silly question to ask but I am having a hard time locating the model ID within a model and can’t locate this info in any documentation. On a similar note, where do you locate the workspace ID?

Thanks for your support,

HA

Hi @HALY hope all is well.

You can find all this information directly in the URL in your browser.

  • The Application ID appears after /application/ in the URL.

  • For Blocks (e.g., metrics, lists), the Block ID follows the corresponding block type in the path (e.g., /metrics/, /lists/).

  • If you're viewing a specific Block View, the View ID appears after viewId= in the URL.

  • The Workspace ID is shown right after pigment.app/—this is the workspace's short name.

Let us know if you have any further questions. Thanks!

@farhan13 - is there another way to get the WS ID? We are trying to connect to MCP server and it is asking for the following.

● The API is still rejecting the workspace identifier. The application ID must be a GUID/UUID format (like
  xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx), not a text name.

To find your Application ID, please:

  1. Log into Pigment at https://pigment.app
  2. Navigate to any view, table, or block in your workspace
  3. Look at the browser URL bar - it should contain something like:
  https://pigment.app/application/XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX/...
  4. Copy the GUID that appears after /application/

  Alternative method:
  - If you have the full URL to the view with ID 6d2f1e90-e0d4-4483-8eea-22e809807ace, you can share it with me and I can extract the
  Application ID from it.

The Application ID should look similar to your View ID format (a long string of letters, numbers, and hyphens).

Could you check your Pigment URL and provide the Application ID?
