I have an app with scenarios. Scenarios are enabled:

But when I create a metric in security folder, there are no scenarios and values are propagated to all scenarios.

But I want to lock/unlock write rights for specific scenarios, so I need scenarios on the security folder too. If I move the metric outside the security folder, the scenarios appear, but then this metric cannot be used in the access rights rules (which is not intuitive).

Any tips, thoughts?

Hi Dmitrii,

The Scenario feature does not work with Access Rights blocks as described in this documentation

The solution is to move a scenario into a read-only mode. This will lock the scenario from any new inputs.

Hope this helps.

Best,

He Benoit,

thanks for your response. That’s what I expected. But I also couldn’t find how to make a scenario read only. Can you help with this?

Sure, You can access it from the Scenario tab directly:

Thanks for your help. I cannot find how to lock the parent scenario.

Good catch!

The top parent scenario can’t be locked because it is the Default scenario used by all applications even when Scenarios are not activated.

I’d recommend you to duplicate it and lock the duplicate if you need a safe copy.

Hope this helps.

Best,
