Formula switch depending on Dimension value

Best Answer -
You can try
IF('IWSR - NRR Data'.'Business Segment Group' = Business Segment."VALUE A", Logic A, Logic B)

Check overrides easily
Question -
“It would be great to have a built-in feature that allows users to quickly identify and display only overridden values without needing to manually inspect entries or create comparison formulas.”
Best Answer -
At the moment, the quickest approach is to create a formula comparing the calculated value with the overridden metric to identify any variances.
If this functionality would improve your workflow, consider submitting a feature request to the Product team.

UNIQUE / DISTINCT Function
Question -
“Is there any Pigment function or keyword available to retrieve distinct/unique values from a text metric, apart from COUNTUNIQUE?”
Best Answer -
Pigment doesn’t currently provide a dedicated UNIQUE or DISTINCT function for text values.
However, you can achieve the result using a combination of intermediary metrics, a technical dimension, text functions, and filtering logic to extract values, remove duplicates, and rebuild a distinct list.
While the setup requires several steps, it allows you to generate a unique list while preserving the original dimensionality.

Pigment MCP
Question -
“Is there a way to limit permissions on the MCP side? For example, allowing users to access data through Claude while preventing any write actions.”
Best Answer -
MCP connections currently use the same permissions and Data Access Rights configured in Pigment. There is no separate MCP permission layer that can make a user read-only while preserving their existing write permissions in the platform.
If read-only access is required, the recommended approach is to use a dedicated user or role with read-only permissions. Enterprise customers can also control which MCP clients are allowed to connect, although this governs access to the client rather than read versus write capabilities.
