I would like to schedule/automate the refresh of Pigment data in my Excel using the add-in, is there a callable function I can use in VBA to do this? Any ways that people have automated the refresh I would love to hear about.

Thanks for raising this. The Pigment Excel add-in can't be scheduled or automated, and it doesn't expose a callable function so you may come short in an attempt to automate this. The add-on is limited to manual triggers at this time, though I can see how beneficial an automation would be.
