Does Pigment support scoping an MCP API key to specific applications, instead of to the entire workspace? I understand that MCP only has access to AI enabled metrics, but some apps I want enabled for MCP and others just for native Pigment AI functions.

Hi @rachelaumais

When a user accesses Pigment through an MCP connector, they must authenticate with their Pigment account.

All existing Pigment permissions and access rights apply:

  • Users can only access Applications, Metrics, or data they already have access to in Pigment.

  • No additional access is granted through MCP.

So in this way, you control access to Applications using the usual mechanisms inside Pigment: Application Roles, Permissions and Data Read/Write Access.

I hope this answers your question! You can see this Knowledge Base article for more details: MCP Server
