Hello,

I’m just a beginner, and currently, my company uses the Sage 100 software, with data stored in an on-premise SQL Server. We also use the Sage BI Reporting tool to query the data in Excel.
My question is: how can we directly connect to the Sage accounting data?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Huyen,

Marty from Pigment Product Support here.

First of all, welcome to the Pigment Community! I hope you’re finding all the resources you need to get up and running.

While we do have a connector that links Pigment to Sage Intacct (Sage’s cloud-based accounting solution), we don’t currently offer a pre-built connector specifically for Sage100. However, there are a couple of ways to get your business data into Pigment that might work for you.

  1. Manual import via .csv file
  2. Import via Excel Connector
  3. Import scheduling via API

With option 1, you would export your data from Sage, either directly from Sage or via your SQL server and then import that data manually into Pigment using an Import configuration. More info about importing List data via .csv here.

With option 2, you would use our pre-built connector tool to configure an export from Excel. More info about that Connector tool can be found here.

With option 3, you would use our public API endpoints and authentication process to create a custom integration that would push data from Sage 100 or from Excel into your Pigment workspace. More info on API set up here.

Have a look at some of those linked articles and let me know if you have any questions or if there’s anything else we can do to help.

Cheers,
Marty
