I have recently been getting the following error message semi frequently:“Failed to acquire a shared lock during metric creation”It is mostly happening when I am trying to edit P2P imports (ie. within a Metric, click Import Data, click Edit on an existing import configuration)Anyone know what this means?

Hi Everyone, We would like to have an easy workflow and process for compering Budget USD salaries at budget FX rates vs Budget USD salaries at actual FX rates. Is it a right approach to create a FX version dimension like FX actuals, FX forecast, FX budget etc? Or is it more efficient to utilise our current Version dimension and once we have a budget version we just make a copy of it and update FX rates in that version based on actuals to get the re-calculated USD budgeted salaries as per most recent rates? So the use case is: having an easy way to understand the FX impact in the BvA report.Example:Employee with 10,000 EUR salaryBudget EUR/USD rate: 1.2Budget USD: 12,000 USD salaryNetsuite Actuals EUR: 10,000 EUR salary (same)Netsuite EUR/USD rate: 1.3Actuals USD: 13,000 USD SalaryBvA = (1000) USDWe would like to then easily explain to budget holders that this 1,000 USD overspend is pure FX and

Bonjour, Je suis face à une difficulté et le message d’erreur ‘Formula timed out’ sur mon P&L; J’ai un metric qui calcule mon Budget P&L à partir de plusieurs sources (Revenue, Coût, HR, etc.) ; j’aimerais créer un autre metric reprenant le P&L avec une dimension en plus (une dimension Fournisseur présente uniquement sur les coûts) ; grâce à laquelle je peux voir mes coûts à la granularité fournisseur directement dans le P&L.J’ai donc modifié la structure du metric (en rajoutant la dimension fournisseurs, et modifié la formule avec des ADD sur les autres metrics alimentant cette dernière) ; néanmoins je retombe systématiquement sur un message formula timed out > 3 minutes. Je suppose que c’est lié à ma liste fournisseur (qui est longue) , mais je ne vois pas comment faire pour optimiser la formule ?

We are now looking to explore how we can export data from Pigment back into Workday to create a closed-loop integration. Anyone familiar with this set up? When saving views and using the Pigment Connector to export them to google sheets, I’m unable to retain the “hide empty rows and columns” filtering selection. Is this a feature in Pigment or are there plans to add this feature any time soon? Thanks!

Hi there ;  I’m trying to find a way to give access to only one board of an application ; To be more specific :  I have the application "Budget", where the overall budget of the company is. In this application, I have multiple boards and I want to give access to (2 people) to only one of the boards (where they will find their own budget) but I don't want them to see the other boards (they don't have to see them). How should I do it ? Thx in advance 

Hello Pigment community,I have a list of different clients that depending on the amount of users they are charged a different price based on tiers. Currently we do the process with an excel model that calculates the total price of the subscription based on a table that looks like this with the IFS formula:I would like to do this automatically on Pigment but I don’t know how to set it up so that based on the amount of users it multiplies such user for the correct price. Another limitation is that as you can see in the table there is the price of the Core service, and then there are different options that the clients can subscribe to. Therefore I also need pigment to multiply the usage by the correct options depending on what options each client has subscribed to. Currently in excel we do it by the means of this table: 

Several times I’ve run into this… I think I can solve my problem by just manipulating a new view of a metric. Then I realize I need to combine several metrics. When I finally create a table I have to completely recreate the filters, summing, and pivoting in a table. Is there a way to duplicate a view in a metric into a newly created table? This would be very helpful!

I have a board with year as a filter on top of the board and it is possible to select multiple years in this filter. On my board I also have a KPI that should show outgoing HC for the last month based on the selected years. When I look at my data with Years on the rows it looks like the picture below when I use “Last” as time aggregator.However when I remove years from the rows all values are blank. If I change the time aggregator to “Last Non Blank” it shows me values, but the problem is that “Last Non Blank” doesn’t always give me the values for dec in the last year, it returns the cells shown in the second picture below. It feels like a bug that the cells are blank when using “Last” as aggregator in this case or am I doing something wrong? 

In our organization, we use S3 to store data as parquet files and work with Athena AWS. Currently, with Pigment's import mechanism based solely on integrated CSV files, we are compelled to establish a process that converts our parquet files into CSV. Hi - I’m new to Pigment having spent many years working with TM1 and am struggling with some of the new concepts and methods ! - Trying to find a way to allocate multiple Product Groups down to the Product level. I have the product mix % by Product Group but can’t find a way to only multiply the mix within each Product Group. In simple terms its:-IF (Product.Group (property of Product) = Product Group (Dimension) THEN Product Group* % Mix of Product in that Product Group.I was able to get it to work if I hard coded one Product Group (Type) but can’t find way to make dynamic on all product groups. Sales_By_Product_Group  [Select: '02a.Product Type'.Type = "Barbecue"]*IF('02.Product'.Type = "Barbecue",'02.Product'.'% of Product Group Sales',0)In short is there a way to replace “Barbecue” so it iterates through all the Product Groups (Types) ?  Thank you all !

Bonjour, Je voudrais savoir si ce serait possible lors d’un extract de Pigment à Google sheet via le connector de ne pas avoir des lignes vides? Ex: Lors d’un extract avec le connector, j’ai 30.000 lignes et sur ses 30.000 lignes j’ai 10.000 lignes utilent et qui contiennent des valeurs. Cela alourdi énormément les fichiers de travail.Dans les tables (extracts) dans Pigment, il y a une possibilité de filtrer et de mettre (Hide empty rows and columns). Hello Everyone, I am working on a headcount report where in I have Actuals and Budget along with the variance.  Now I want to reference scenarios in the formulas somehow to create a metric to use this logic: If Actuals is blank and Budget is there, it means that that seat is not filled yet. Is there anyway to do it?

I’m trying to start making hypotheses for next year's BP based on percentage growth.I started with Revenue but I find myself with the following problem that I am not able to solve.I simply want to formulate that the Revenue, for example, of January 2024 is that of January of the previous year  *  % growth. This % I have entered into a metric that I have created where I have put a % growth for each month of the year 24. However, I do not want the Revenue metrics already established in Pigment to vary or be modified, since they are the ones that give us our Revenue figures for different versions (actuals, forecast, target, etc.).Basically, what I want is to filter the information to which I want this % of growth to be applied, which in this case is only for the year 2024

Hello,I am working on a business case where I need to take the data and create some sophisticated business items.  I want to see the forecast at different levels by who is inputting it and how to confirm the forecast is done. Here are some of the things that need to come out of the data that is provided.Alignment between top-down and bottom-up revenue targets. Consistent driver-based approach to cost planning, particularly around travel costs. Showing if forecast has been entered and how to change/override that number.Any help would be great.

We have two dimensions that have a parent/child relationship - L0 Company and L1 Parent Company. Hi Pigment Experts, I have the following challenge. I have two properties in a an Employee dimension list (Department_Apr and Department_Mar). Employees may move between departments and these properties are reflecting that. Then I have a metric by Employee which I want to pivot by Department. I use the formula below and it works well. My question is is there a way to write formula so the metrics is either by Department_Apr or Department_May dependently on a Scenario i.e. dependently on input to another metric? Hello,I have this Table with 2 differents metrics (volumes L3M and volumes L6M to L3M) with Var and Var (%) as duplicates of volumes L3M. I analyze it month by month (basically the last month). I would like to have 1 view with top Decliners on the current month (automatically done each month), i.e the doctors who have the worst Var (%) (top 20) In another view I would like exactly the same but the best Var (%) (top 20).It seems impossible to do it with table view… Can you help me please ? Thanks 

Hi Pigment Community!I am struggling with a problem and was wondering if any of you could help me solve it. The Issue: I'm working with a transaction block imported from Excel in Pigment, and unfortunately, not all the data is filled in. Specifically, I'm dealing with the Country/Region column in my All Deals transaction block. This column is dimensioned by Country Mapping, which, in turn, is connected to the Country dimension (screenshots attached for context). The snag I'm hitting is figuring out how to apply a formula that allows me to specify what information from my dimension to use when populating blank cells.The Goal: I aim to create a function in my Country/Region column that fills in blank cells with the dimension "Missing Data" for easy identification later on. The idea is to check the cell contents – if the cell is blank, I want to populate it with 'Missing Data,' sourced from my Country Mapping dimension. If the cell

Hi, I am looking to combine a transaction list (actuals) with a forecast metric using a cost centre dimension.I have the cost centre dimension in my transaction actuals but in the forecast it is a property in another dimension (property type is dimension and selected as the same one in the actuals). What function should i be using in my formula in order to bring both in combined at the cost centre level?
