Hi everyone,I’ve come across a need to compare the current year’s forecast against next year’s live forecast, and noticed that this requires referencing two dimensions: Year and Version, or Year and Scenario. For example, I’m trying to build a variance table for a set of metrics where the variance is calculated as:(2025 Year + 2025 Forecast Snapshot) – (2026 Year + 2026 Live Forecast).Has anyone built something similar—where you can select different years and different versions (or scenarios) and calculate the variance between them?Thanks in advance!

Hi everybody,I am making an event calendar for next year. This calendar contains all different kinds of events (like the winter olympics 2026, valentines day, etc.). This information is stored in a boolean metric dimensioned by Day, Event and Business Unit. Like so: Next - I would like to summarize this information in a text metric dimensioned by week and business unit. I would like to create a simple textlist of the Event dimension where any boolean is true. Like so:W6 FY 26: Winter Olympics 2026 W7 FY 26: Winter Olympics 2026, Valentines dayHow to best go about this? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks! 

I have below metric for selecting the last month of the year.I’m using it as a dynamic variable for Month dimension.I want to use it for YoY% (“Selected Year” vs. Previous Year) headcount variance. But it doesn’t work. How do I make this work? Or, how do I make a similar logic to calculate it for the Year (property of Month) selected from the Pages (being dynamic)?Currently, I’m calculating it for a specific Year (unlinked from the Pages in the main board) like below. P.S. The variable works well in Filter. 

Our team is thinking about future Pigment updates, primarily the upcoming AI capabilities.  We are looking at bringing in more dimensions into our modeling to help better isolate actionable insights and plan at a more granular level.  As a result, our source datasets (which we will bring into Pigment as transaction lists) are going to grow significantly.  From millions to perhaps up to 100 million records.  Are there any limits to the size of a transaction list?  Will overall performance suffer?  Just want to get a sense of the possible.Thank you!

Hello, I get a transaction from my ERP with not a specific date by line but a start and a end dateEmployee Project Start End Hours Emp001 Proj1 01/01/2024 05/01/2025 5 Emp001 Proj2 02/01/2024 04/01/2024 2  I need to create a metric with Employee/Project/Day dimensions in which for each dates between the start and end I put the number of hours     01/01/2024 02/01/2024 03/01/2024 04/01/2024 05/01/2024 Emp001 Proj1 5 5 5 5 5 Emp001 Proj2   2 2 2    Could you explain me the best way to do it ?

If there is a dimension list called “Documents list” , there is a boolean metric A with dimensionality “Documents” list and “Team” It’s a boolean metric which tells the documents are relevant to which all team(s), if a document XYZ is marked checked for “Team 1” and “Team 2”, then in the top page filter while choosing either Team 1/ Team 2 , “document XYZ” row should show upHow to create another dimension list say “Detailed documents” dynamically

Hi! I am trying to apply a calculated item to just one metric in a table and not to all of them. Basically, be able to display this (see photo attached), where I can assign no calculation to some metrics. Do you guys know how to do it?  Thank you!

Hi there, I haven’t really found something related to this topic, hence this new one. I am fairly new to Pigment and have been working heavily with other planning solutions so far. What I see in every project is the need to easily set up parent-child hierarchies for cost centers, profit centers or products. Those can have many levels (e.g. a 10 level deep cost center hierarchy). In other solutions I would get all node and leaf items from a source system and add the respective parent in a separate hierarchy column (so I need to keep two columns maintained to have a full multi-level hierarchy). What is the equivalent of this in Pigment? Thanks everyone! *Update: my apologies, I was actually referring to parent child hierarchies. Would that change the approach?

I want to sum every month; for example I want March 2026 to be the sum of March 2020 + March 2021 + March 2022 + March 2023 + March 2024 + March 2025 (so anything after the actuals month needs to be a calculation of all prior months. Is that possible? 

Hi Team,Is there a way to update the formatting of all parent rows at once?For example, we have data at the Location level in rows, with Country set as the parent. Instead of formatting each country one by one, can we apply the formatting to all parent rows together?I believe this would help us save significant time and effort.Thanks & Regards,Spandan

Has anyone received an error trying to set up an SFTP connection with ADP? It seems to be finding the file OK (we get a different error message if we put a non existent file) but is generating this error in Pigment: “Error while uploading the file. Cannot get the size of '/fromADP/xxxxxxxx.csv'" I’m not sure if it’s a permissions issue or something else.

Is there a way in Pigment to submit a button?(i.e. similar to marking a checkbox as True)

I want to be able to make specific notes about forecasted line items to document the rationale for the forecast.  This would be particularly useful for when a default forecast calculation is overridden to be able to have documentation.  Comments don’t seem to be a viable solution for this, as the comment can only be made on a cell within a grid, and if that cell is no longer visible in the view, (i.e. the switchover date changes and the forecast is hidden and replaced with actuals), it’s not there for anyone updating the forecast to see. I also dislike that comments are permanent and cannot be removed. Has anyone come up with a solution for this that they would be willing to share?

Hi,I have a set of metrics for wich I want to copy the input from one version to another.Version is a dimension ex: Budget 2025, Reforecast 2025….I have in mind something like using the function “ copy input between scenario” but at a version level.Thanks

Hi everyone,I’m a Pigment newbie, and I need support from you !I would like to manually sort the Items of a Dimension displayed in a Pigment Object.Let me show you an example :In the picture below, I want the “NA1” to be between “AU7” and “IN1”.I selected “No Sorting”, but I didn’t manage to drag & drop the NA1.Thank you !​

Our current approach uses a formula that pulls department data from a NetSuite Actuals saved search. It looks up the department code and returns the department name if it is in the actuals report. However, for new departments that don’t yet have transactions, the lookup fails—defaulting to “No Department”—even though the department code and name already technically exist in NetSuite.While we can hardcode logic (e.g., map department 239 to a specific name), this isn’t scalable. From what I understand, we can’t create a transaction list that syncs directly to the full NetSuite department list, since that’s not a saved search.One workaround we’ve considered is exporting the department list manually from NetSuite into a Google Sheet and syncing that, but we’re hoping there’s a cleaner solution.How do others or Pigment typically handle this situation when planning for future departments without actuals? IF(ISDEFINED('NetSuite PL Actuals'.Department [by lastnonblank: 'NetSuite PL Actuals'.'N

I am investigating using Fivetran to export Pigment data into Snowflake and I didn’t see anything in the Pigment or Fivetran documentation about access to snapshots. Is it possible to export Pigment data from a snapshot into Snowflake?

Hello Everyone,  I have a dimension which is called Supervisory Org which is the Workday hierarchy. In that dimension, I have properties called Level2, Level3, Level 4 etc. which is basically the hierarchy chain.  I am seeing help to develop a logic as to if I select select someones name, I should get everyone rolling up to that person and not only the direct repartees. Not sure if anyone has faced this before. Any help will be appreciated. 

I currently uploaded 2 transaction list containing payroll details. 1 of the report has both Employee ID and Name and the other report only has Name.I’m able to match the names below but i want it to return the employee ID as well, what formula should I use? The example below: I want the 3rd column to return 4068 for Aaron Brethorst.   Thanks in advance!
