Hey everyone, I have a transaction list of revenue by month by User ID. My User ID dimension has the property “Employer”. My Employer dimension has the property “Parent Company”. I want to create a metric with dimensions Months and Parent Company to sum the revenue from my transaction list. How do I chain the dimension properties in the by sum statement? I need to go from User ID > Employer > Parent Company across multiple dimension lists. Thanks!  

We had removed Scenarios from the Pages in some blocks (because we weren’t utilizing them yet) and now we can’t find an option to add Scenarios back to Page in the Pivot. We can add them as columns/rows, but the Pivot interface doesn’t allow us to move Scenarios to Pages only. How can we get Scenarios back in our blocks as only a Page selector?

Is there any way to auto refresh the data connection from Pigment to Google Sheets on a daily basis? 

Hi everyone!I have to remodel our Budget application because a lot of our processes have changed since we built it with the Pigment team 😊Can you please share with me your best practices for building such applications?I am especially wondering about the use of scenarios, versions, switchover date, etc.We usually do a budget once a year and then review it with a forecast at least once every quarter. Should I create 2 separate applications for this purpose? Can I condense all the information in one application?Thanks for your help!

I am trying to say that if this property on this dimension list is blank, then just insert me an item from another dimension list.But I get this and I tried to change the property type but it still gives me the same error message: “Expressions are incompatible and cannot all be converted to Text”

Hello,I want to compare Jan 23 vs Jan 22, Feb 23 vs Feb 22, etc until Dec 23 vs Dec 22 with Calculated Item but from what I see, I have to do it manually (12 times for each Month) to do it.Is there an automatic method to do it on every months ?Here is a picture of what I want : Thank you for your help :)Alexandre

Hi Community - I've noticed that if we have a multiple properties of an existing dimension mapped to a single dimension I'm unable to pivot the data multiple ways.Is there a setting or adjustment that can be made so both can be displayed or is this a new request for the Product team.Example: We have a global account id called Global ID and we have proerties mapped to it related to the different product cohorts of that customer (Global_Cohort ,  Product1_Cohort, Product2_Cohort, Product3_Cohort ) which are all aligned to a single dimension Cohort_Months . When pivoting my data or adding it as a page selector I can only choose one of them and then am unable to choose another even though the Product1_Cohort is a different value vs Product2_Cohort. So if I want to show a matrix of this data I cannot do it. Have you encountered this issue before? Is

Hello, I want to show a YTD view for a KPI where it sums each month automatically. For example, in January I would be able to see budget vs actual and in February it would be Jan + Feb and so on. Is there any work around for this? This is the current KPI view that I have but I have manually filtered on the month. The view doesn’t work if i choose another month.

Hi everybody, I’m sure, I’m not the only one, who wants to export reports sometimes.Options:Boards are good candidates for it, but there is no export functionality (why?). Metrics/views are good too, but you cannot export multiple views to one Excel or PDFWhat are you ways to export reports to files? Please share your ideas.

Dear community, is there any way I can bring values from a metric’s property to another property in a dimension that takes a value from a line all while specifying the property not to go beyond to make sure it takes the one before the current month? P.S: I tried to use Remove LASTNONBLANK and it didn’t solve what I wanted. 

I would like to be able to show Aggregate (aka SUM or AVERAGE) values in charts on Tables or Metrics. When creating an aggregate field in Pigment on the Grid View, you can see Totals or when using Show Value As you can see items like Revenue per customer (Revenue and # of Customers are two separate metrics). However, when moving to Chart View the aggregate values are not visible in the Chart View

Sometimes the data that you upload in Pigment just isn't perfect. And that's ok, because nobody is perfect!In this article, I want to show you how you can convert a numeric date format (usually from Excel) to a date in Pigment. This date can then be used to convert to another time dimension like a month, a quarter or a year. All credit to @Remi for coming up with this methodology.Maybe you recognize this format below from your work in Excel, sometimes your date shows as a number.Example from Excel When your import file contains this number formatted date, there is an easy way to convert it in Pigment without first going back to Excel. Hi Pigment team! I’m trying to set up some cohort modeling for launches. I have an input metric, of dimensions [Partner] and [Cohort Month], where Cohort Month is a 0-indexed integer list. The inputs are the number of live clients in that month (it’s chunky, usually a piecewise rollout for the first 3-6 months). Let’s say partner A’s launch is coming up. Launch month is Cohort Month 0:                             0           :           1           :             2          :          etc.            Partner A           100                   500                    1000                  etc. I want to know when to switch from this manual input metric to my growth curve assumption for the forecast, so I have to map these cohort months to calendar months. I think the best way to do this is to have a mapping metric which returns the lastnonblank [Cohort Month] as an integer from the input metric outlined above.

Hello, In my Transaction List, I have a column called EUR CST that I calculate from a variable FX column. However, this EUR CST is associated with rates for the year 2022.We have just received the first figures for 2023, but we are now using a different rate (the rates are in a transaction list, with two columns: rate 22 and rate 23).What is the best way/best practice to switch to rate 23 for the 2023 figures?However, I would like to avoid doing this every year (in 2024, it would be nice if it automatically switched to the 2024 rate). Is there a way to do this? Because all my metrics depend on this column.Thank you,Alexandre

Hi! For creating filtering views, why aren’t some dimensions allowed to be filtered by properties? For example, I have a dimension in my data hub for balance sheet accounts and some additional properties within that dimension, but I’m unable to filter by those properties. What I can do instead is add BS_Accounts → Property as a filter on the right-side bar, and restrict it to what I want to filter Filtering View unable to select “Property” for Dimension “BS_Accounts”: Filtering “BS_Accounts” Via Pages in Sidebar and Restricting Dropdown List:
