Hello,As I start my pigment training and work through the formula exercises, I have a question regarding the order of using multiple modifiers within a single formula.I’ve read that the sequence is important when combining BY and FILTER. In the same way, are there any best practices or modeling guidelines that affect performance or functionality when using several modifiers and operators together in random sequence, such as BY, BY->, Select, Filter, Add, Remove, or Exclude?Below is one example from the formula exercises (it may be a simple formula but I am thinking about what sequence to follow for complex formulae):'EE_Calc_MonthlySalary_+increase'[BY SUM: -> EE_Data_Stand.Area][by: 'GL Account'."11100"][remove sum: Employee][by :-> MAP_Datatype] Thanks

HiI want to restrict users on selecting only months with actual data and set up the Current month (the last month with actual data) as default for the Month selector.I created the Actual Months (multiselect) and Current Month item variables.Then I set up Actual Months as available items and tried to set up Current Month as default item.But after applying these settings nothing happend, meaning the Month page selector shows All, not a particular - Current - monthWhen I returned to Selector options I found out that default item for month had been changed to All values.

Hello-As I begin pigment training and work through the formula exercises, I’ve noticed that while CONSTANT is the default allocation method, I often omit it, assuming it will apply automatically. However, the post-exercise walkthroughs consistently include it explicitly.Is there an advantage to always specifying CONSTANT (for allocation) or SUM (for aggregation), even when they’re defaults?Thanks,Sudhakar

Hello Everyone,I’m trying to build a validation process for headcount planning where I can track if a team member’s salary/cost center/class change vs the last load month. We currently load our data daily and each load will replace the previous load within the same month, so we would be comparing the difference vs the last load month. My intention is just to build a board that notifies us when changes happen and I don’t need to create a whole process of validation before these changes runs through to the forecast. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello,I have a metric that shows the P&L.I’ve been asked to add multiple ratios like % of GM / Revenue or % Contributive Margin / Revenue. The issue is that the accounts are not on the same dimension (revenue is Account lvl 2 and Gross Margin is Account lvl 3).What is the easyest way to add those ratio. Do I need to create a specific metric just for them or can I do the calculation directly in my metric ?

Hello, I am trying to create a calculated item to sum values from countries into a region. However, I only see the option to combine Item A and Item B… is there a way to insert more Items (e.g. Item C) in Pigment? Thank you!

I have a metric with a dimension data type. I want to set a default value for this metric from its dimension when no value has been selected. Is it possible to do that?

Hello Pigment team,  I am trying to build a simple table that shows All-Time-High result based on the report. As shown below, there are multiple segments (No Sales, Core I, Core II, etc) and each reached highest (i.e. max) in different period (highlighted in yellow. Based on Period Type: Actual only, I would like to show 1) highest number for each segment and 2) highest date. I assume i need to create two different metrics and combine in a table. Is my approach right?   The table setting would be something like this:(Please note, the values below will not match with the values above highlighted cells)  

For further calculation, I am trying to exclude a few members from the dimensions list items. Could anyone help me find the best approach to do that?

Hello Pigment Team,I’ve been testing various tables with large amounts of data to determine the maximum number of cells allowed. In my experiments, I’ve created tables with 1,000 metrics, 500 metrics, and 200 metrics, each dimensioned by weeks (208) and lists (5,000 records). Initially, I aimed to create a table with 5,000 metrics dimensioned by 208 weeks and a list of 1,048,576 records, but this did not work as expected.I’ve noted that applying “Dynamic Filters” doesn’t resolve the issue. Even when my dynamic filter shows only one selection, no data appears and I receive the error message: “Unable to load content for the current view. If the error persists, please contact technical support.”Is it more challenging to handle a larger number of metrics compared to a larger number of records in a dimension list? Do dynamic filters account for the “hidden” data they contain? What are the capabilities of Pigment in this context?Thank you for y

Hello,I’ve created a Pigment app connected to a NetSuite environment. All my master data and figures are coming from this system. As of today, I need to update the dimension and transaction lists one by one by launching the related import task.Is there as way to create like a master import that launch everything at once to ease the maintenance of the app ?Thank you

I am looking to normalise some Country data from different sources in different formats (e.g. some countries have full name others ISO codes). I have been using the ITEM() function to map all correct countries to our Master Country dimension.I was now planning on doing something similar by pulling in the ISO code dimension which is also linked to the Country dimension. However, the ITEM() function does not seem to return any values which confuses me. Ultimately, I am planning to then pull in the Country dimension from the ISO code and combine the two

If I break a metric by mutilpe break downs in a table in Pigment, at the time of exporting to g-sheet using Pigment connector, i don’t see any breakdown. i only see one row of data w/o any breakdown by dimensionsis this a product limitation or a bug ?

I am currently testing an external API integration in Pigment to retrieve a response and display it within the platform. Setup Details: I configured an API connection in Pigment. On the Action board, I added a card with a button to trigger the API call. When I click the button, the API call is successfully triggered. Issue: Although the API call is being made, I am not receiving any JSON response within Pigment. The response does not seem to be captured or displayed. Hello,I made a subset in my Month dimension list, in order to create a boolean metric that has Months in rows and columns. I named this subset ‘MonthTimeIntel’. Basically I wanted to create a boolean that checks what the trailing twelve months are for each month. Something like this:So far, so good. I then use this metric as a filter for my charts and graphs where I only want to show the last twelve months. Also: so far, so good. But lastly - I don't want another page selector on my dashboards. Because now the page selector for ‘MonthTimeIntel’ shows up on my dashboards, but I don't want that. Is there a way so that the MonthTimeIntel page selector moves in unison with my Month selector and so I can hide the MonthTimeIntel selector? Hello Pigment Community,I have created a variable for each metric, and in the table, I have applied the individual variables to their corresponding metrics. I then pivoted the table so that the metrics are in the page selector. The issue I'm encountering is that when I apply a variable to one metric and then try to apply a different variable for another metric, it doesn't update as expected. I need variables to be updated as according to my selection. For example, I have two P&L metrics: Salary Cost and Expense. I’ve set individual variables for both metrics. However, when I apply these variables to different selections on the board, it shows the same variable for both metrics, even though I recently applied different variables for each.Could anyone assist with this?
