I’m currently having a formatting/metric structure issue and was wondering if anyone had a solution to my problem. The current challenge I’m facing is that when I create a table using 2 existing metrics and 1 input metric, the format of my table follows the input metric, when I would like it to follow the format of the existing metrics. To further explain I have a list of managers and territories. Managers only operate in one territory, so in a table manager A should only be seen under country X, however I am seeing that Manager A is listed under Country A, B, C, etc...Blocks:DIMENSION: Opp Owner Name METRIC: Revenue [$] Y-1 METRIC: Revenue [$] Y-2 (no picture provided because its the same as Revenue [$] Y-1) METRIC: Yearly Bookings [$] - Input - NBiz TABLE: Output Yearly Bookings ($)To help explain I have attached images below that

Hi Pigment community,I want to manage the edit rights in a Board, so that users only can edit/add data for Forecast data and should not edit/override the Actuals data. I created a Period Type metric:   I added the Period Type to the Year metric:   I created a custom Access Rights Metric named “Forecast Rule” for the Period Type and Year metric. I updated the access to Actual on Read / No Write and to Forecast Read / Write for all users:

I have two lists.List with account numbers List with account groups and min + max rangesI want a function that assigns the numbers from the first list to the correct category in the second list if the number is within the respective range.I found the solution in Excel and could not find a suitable way to implement this in Pigment. Hi,I believe the visual hint feature for metrics is a great feature for the end users. However, I have observed it doesn’t work as suggested for the metric that is calculated and overriding with an input value is allowed. Example: I have a metric ‘Annual Bonus’, and under the Metric’s ‘Data Input’ settings enabled the ‘Allow overriding formula results with an input’ option.Data Input setting updated to ‘Allow overriding’ But, if you see it in the Board, it will show only as a Calculated metric i.e. grey vertical column at the right side of the cell, and not as the ‘Calculation with Input allowed’ i.e. with both pale yellow background as well as the grey vertical bar at right side of the cell, to indicate that it is both calculated and input/override is allowed. Without

Hi all - I’m looking to calculate the maximum value of the last 3 months but seem to be getting incorrect values with my current formula. Adding screenshots below. Tried “MAX(Value, Value[select: Month - 1], Value[select: Month - 2])” but it seems to be causing a mismatch in dimensionality somehow.  

Hi,I am trying to change the scale of the Y-axis on a combined chart, but am not seeing the option of a “Fixed” scale.Interestingly, on a Secondary Y scale this is possible (pls see below) In a separate discussion below, it was stated that this should just be an issue with bar charts, but I cannot find the option in the combined chart either.Thanks for the help! 

Hi Pigment Community,I am a beginner in financial modeling and have a very shallow learning curve in Pigment and often don't progress well. I have to constantly look up tutorials and forums to do simple things that I often don't fully understand.What would help me a lot would be a detailed video of a project where the budget or forecast in Pigment is set up step by step and all the steps in Pigment are explained. Especially modeling with dimensions, transaction lists etc. is difficult for me without a lot of previous experience. (E.g. which metrics do you basically need and how are they created from the raw data?)Are there any such videos available?  I haven't found any suitable examples on YouTube or Google.Is there an overview page of all Pigment videos from the Academy? That would also help a bit without always having to search in the respective topic subpages.Thank you!M

Hello everyone,I know that automation/workflow needs to be designed with Metrics but I would like some people to input a dimension (with Data Type “Text”) and then select from several elements in several properties (each property being of the Data Type “Dimension”).In the following example (which is a Dimension), I want some employees to input the Name of the subject they will be working on and then select the start date of the subject, the end date, link is to a project, a product and an activity.I have absolutely no idea of how to do that. Looking to toggle between whole $ numbers and %’s for budget driver values - I would like to be able to set up any value between 0 and 1 to show up as e.g. 5% vs 0.05, but the same metric also has $20,0000 type direct annual input amounts. Is this possible?

Hello, I have a metric that calculates for me the travel amount (see below) which has three dimensions, Parent Department, Version, and Travel lines. This metric eventually goes into a table where we have all the drop downs you see in the formula. Now I need to add another metric for display that will count the number of travel inputs each parent department has (or maybe just a KPI instead). So in this example, for Parent Department I would like to see “4”. How do I use the COUNT formula or another one to do it?  

Hi Pigment Community, I have some data that i’ve uploaded to a Pigment transaction block from Sales Force. Included in my data is hyperlink information so that my users can click the link to navigate from Pigment to Sales Force if they want to go to the source of the data. At the moment I am unable to find a way to make the link active though, and was wondering if there is a way to achieve this? Transaction block with URL information for hyperlink

I would like to ask if in Pigment there is a setting or by setting some metrics, we could be able to view whether a metric has the manual input/override function turned on? Additionally, is there a way to have automatic conditional formatting in a table such that if the metric has the manual override function turned on, it will display in a different color?  This would help us easily identify and manage overridden metrics in our application. Thank you.

I received a question to our support desk from a user recently, and I thought that it would be helpful to others to share my approach!The user wanted to extract some clean items from a text property in their transaction list so that they could find the corresponding ‘Country’ dimension items by using the ITEM() function. Generally, the values were simply an exact match to the unique ‘Name’ property for the items that they wanted to map to. However, in their source data, some items were followed by a whitespace and some additional information contained within parentheses, i.e. “Country (City Name)”.The formula that they were using was not returning results for the transactions where the source text property contained parentheses. It looked something like this:ITEM( IF( ISBLANK(LEFT(SourceTransactionList.CountryText, FIND(" (", SourceTransactionList.CountryText))), SourceTransactionList.CountryText, LE

Hi there, I’m facing a recurrent problem and can’t seem to have a solution to fix it. My problem is the following : I monitor my P&L statement in Pigment, this P&L is directly based on my general ledger. The general ledger is imported once a month, and includes all the months of the year, although the entries for previous months only change marginally. Each month, the general ledger is mapped, with a supplier column (which does not exist in the original import); a formula in Pigment is used to map according to the wording of the entry. However, sometimes the formula does not recognise the supplier correctly, or does not map it. As a result, I end up doing manual mapping to correct inconsistencies.  However, when I re-import the general ledger the following month, the manual adjustments are overwritten and I end up with unmapped suppliers. How can I ensure that they aren’t overwritten ?  How can I keep track of manual adjustments?  

Hi,We have a table, as below, used for assigning departments to employees. Additionally, we have an ARM_department metric for managing users’ department access right.I want users to see only the departments to which they have access in the dropdown list (rather than all departments) to avoid mistakes. I know that something can be set for Department dimension, but this would affect the entire workspace, right? Is there a way to restrict it only in this table?Thanks for any advice,Weining

Hello Team, I am facing a challenge with the Cardinality. Situation - I have created a metric (Say A)from a transaction list from which I am pulling a target hire date and I am dimentionlized it with 4 dimensions (month, seat, employee and position worker type). Now I am creating another metric where in i am using ISBLANK () funtion. ISBLANK (A). This is giving me cardinality issue. I think the problem is that although my data set only starts from FY 23, since my calander is set from FY19, this is giving TRUE for all the values from the years I do not want as well which I think is resulting in this problem.I tried to filter by Month.Year but the formula stops at cardinality i think and not filtering the value. Any suggestions ???

As shown above, I would like to add some color conditional formatting to the access rights. How can I achieve that? I have tried using the condition “Does not contain” with the value “Read / Write,” but it doesn't seem to work.

I am trying to create a logic to extract part of a text. For example, here:“41111 Revenue : Subscription : Platform”I want to transform the above text as: “41111 - Platform”. The issue is, when I use FIND function to find “:” symbol, it only returns the position if the first occurrence. But, I want to return the position of the first occurrence from the end. I could use nested IFs to find the first occurrence, slice the text, and find first occurrence from the sliced text. However, some accounts have 3 and more “:” symbols:51111 Cost of Revenue : Subscription : Allocation In - Subscription : Allocation In - Sales & MarketingIs there a way to locate the last occurrence of the text, instead of the first?

When mapping to address mismatched dimensions between source and target is there a best practice to use a list property or metric? Seems to me the list property is the better choice since it’s the obvious place to look which prevents creating duplicates, which of course, can easily become out of sync. If list property is the way to go are there any downsides? Thoughts?
