Fix Excel Connector Error- "An error occurred (Data Pull)"?

My team has been experiencing issues with the Excel connector lately, receiving this error sometimes when trying to pull data into Excel:“An error occurred (Data pull). Please try again later or contact us”.  Does anybody know why this error occurs? Is there a row or data limit when pulling into Excel that we should be aware of?

Connect Pigment to PowerBI

I am trying to export pigment data to PowerBI following the guided steps available on community, but I get an error “404 id not found”. Does anyone know what I could be missing in the setup? I used payload functionality to generate ID for metrics.

Workflow & Approval Dashboards, possible in Pigment?

Hi everyone,I’m designing an approval dashboard and need end‑to‑end visibility on every step of the workflow. When a user clicks “Mark as Done,” I’d like to capture: Who completed the task and at which workflow level Which tasks are still pending and the personas responsible Overall progress and potential bottlenecks across the entire process Can Pigment’s built‑in Workflow feature surface this information (e.g., through metrics, status boards, or conditional formatting)? Unable to remove a filter on a board widget (not page selector)

I have a list on a board. I noticed that when I filter directly in the list, there doesn’t seem to be a way to remove the filter from the board view. I have to expand the the list and go directly to the block in order to remove the filter. Is there another way to remove list/table filters when I right click? Currently, it allows me to keep adding filters but not way to remove or edit filters already in place.The example below has a filter on a text column. I do know that if this was a dimension I could add it to page selector but in this case, we have it as text by design.

Unable to Export View or Access Pigment API

Hi everyone,I’m trying to export data using the endpoint https://pigment.app/api/export/view/<view_id> via PowerShell. Despite using a valid API token and correct view ID, I get DNS or connection errors.I’ve tried: PowerShell, Postman, and curl Changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 Running from mobile hotspot and cloud environments Swagger UI — but after authorization, all actions are locked and I cannot trigger export None of these methods are working.Could you please confirm: Are these endpoints operational from India? Are there any region-based restrictions or settings required to enable export? Thanks,Spandan Talukdar

Using IF formula and grab the result from another metric.

Hello! Could you help me with setting up the formula with the given metric/txn list below? Metric: 1.0 [Post Acq.] Amortization Schedule (Forfeit+Current)I created amortization metric for each grants by month. I confirmed this amort. distribution is correct. Transaction List: RSU Accounting DataBelow is the transaction list, providing the grant details for above metric (type, employee termed date, grant vesting month, employee original terminated month). Above metric is also based off this transaction list. With given two blocks, I am trying to show the actual P&L impact for each month. I’ve created the output table via excel below to show the result that i would like to see in metric. Walkthrough: RCA grants are scheduled to vest in 2024–2025 (per Grant/Vesting Date in the Data block), so monthly amortization was occurring prior to resignation, July 2023. IF (Month < Term Month) AND (Month < Vesting Month) → Sum Amortization Schedule (1st table) by RSU# for each month.

Max Date in Transaction List

I am trying to identify the most recent date in the transaction list at the vendor, IS0, and Function level. I am using a MAXOF (date) formula and aggregating by desired dimensions. Any idea why this formula isn’t working?

Growth with PREVIOUS

Hi Pigment Community,I want to calculate Growth Rates with the PREVIOUS function, but suddenly it doesn’t work as expected.This is my simple Test Metric:Calculating the Growth with PREVIOUS does not work:​​​​​​However, selecting the previous Year with SELECT does work:I would expect the PREVIOUS function to select exactly the same cell as the SELECT function. Am I doing something wrong here?

Dynamic Multiplier based on Year

Hi All,I am working on requirement where the calculation involves a multiplier to be applied on previous years based on year for which it is calculated. Please see screenshot below.I want to achieve the result in B to be dynamic, so it can be calculated until whichever year user decides it needs to stop. Currently I have achieved this by manual multiplier & Select function on Year to offset, but this is limited to years based on offset I define in formula.'Metric A' + 'Metric A'[Select: Year-1]*2 +  'Metric A'[Select: Year-2]*3 + 'Metric A'[Select: Year-3]*4 + 'Metric A'[Select: Year-4]*5 Please advise, if there is a way to make this dynamic.Thanks

Insights Not Working with Multiple Scenarios

Hi everyone,I have created two scenarios - Budget & Actuals. Now when I am turning on AI Insights on a metric, its showing details of the default scenario, even though I want insights of the Budget scenario. How can I solve this problem? Why are insights not available on Multiple scenarios?The documentation AI is mentioning that AI Insights can compare 2 scenarios but I am not finding any option to change the scenario for Insights.Please kindly help me out, Thanks!Regards,Spandan

Dynamic Variables on Scenarios

Hi everyone,Is there a way to add dynamic variable for scenarios. For example, I have 2 scenarios, Actual and Budget and for some boards after the user ticks a Boolean check-box metric I want to show them the budget scenario else the budget scenario will be hidden.Is there a way I can achieve this?Thanks & regards,Spandan

Count # of direct reports each month

​​​​​​I have a metric called 'EE_Card_Employee Manager' with the following:Dimensions (2): ‘Employee’ & ‘Month’Data Type: Dimension ‘Employee’Currently the metric shows each employee’s manager each month. Hi everyone,I want to lock the budget scenario after my actual date starts, for example till 31st Dec, 2024, I will allow users to make change but when the date goes to 1st Jan, 2025, I want the budget scenario to be locked.Is there a way I can achieve this?Thanks,Spandan

Default base scenario input but still allow for separate input for second scenario

I have a metric that requires user input — it has a base scenario and a second scenario. I would like scenario 2 to initially default to the input for the base scenario but then have the ability override it and be a separate input from the base scenario.Is this possible?

Percentage mix calculation

I’m trying to calculate fee % on the total amount. Both metrics have the same 5 dimensions. However my output when I directly calculate it as a formula is different from when I use Calculations “show value as” in the table which is correct.Since both have the same dimensions, how do I get the correct % at all levels of the dimension?The first is from “show value as” and the second is from a metric. How do I get both of these to be correct and the same?

Cumulate by Qtés

Hello community,I'm looking for a cumulate grouped by Qty. I have a first metric which indicates my need of Qtés per week, and I need a second metric able to detect the week when I exceed the minimum to order. In my example, I have a minimum order of 6. In Line 1 I calculate my requirement per week. (that's done)In Line 2 I want to trigger an order when I've reached at least my minimum order.If I have that, it's already good In an ideal world, I'd have to reduce this quantity to the 1st week, a bit like a moving sum function but with variable parameters. If anyone has an algo idea, I'd be grateful ^^.

Filter on item variables in page selector

Hello,I might have a really simple question, but I can't quite figure it out. Is there a way to show the available item variables in a page selector on a board? If I go into the page selector options by clicking on the edit button on a board I can see all available item variables for a specific dimension (for example under ‘available items’ or ‘default items’). But via de dropdown on the page selectors themselves it is not possible to use the variable as a filter? The specific underlying use case is that I have created a subset of profit centers and I would like the end users to be able to view that specific subset of profit centers by filtering the page selector. They shouldn't manually have to click one-by-one.I hope my question is clear :-) Thanks a lot everybody!Bas

Cells with no value/blank should have an option to display as 0 or '-'

From a reporting standpoint, it looks odd to show cells with no values as blank. When putting together a Board report, I would always ensure that nil values show as zero or dash. Can the display of blank cells be considered, same as we have the option within formatting to show as 0 or -?

Access Rights of 'Trigger Export' data action

Hi all,If I use the impersonate feature and clicks on the button which triggers an export (action button : data action : trigger export) which have n number of metrics, and if all the n metrics are having the same Access Rights applied on those because they are all on the same dimensionality, then in the Export view, it shows all the data irrespective of the access rights and impersonation.Hence, in order to see the export view from the actual user’s perspective, that person needs to login for triggering the export, because impersonation doesn’t work as expected for the data action -- trigger export (with AR applied on it)Regards!
